How to Dry a Fleshlight (Safe, Fast, and Discreet Ways to Dry a Fleshlight)
If you want your Fleshlight to last as long as possible, it’s important to dry it properly. Drying your Fleshlight effectively will prevent it from growing mold, developing cracks and tears, and, in the worst case, from its orifice being torn off.

The Best Way to Dry a Fleshlight
The best way to dry a Fleshlight is with a small, soft towel. This method requires little effort and equipment and is unlikely to damage your Fleshlight. First, place a small towel or kitchen cloth on a flat surface. Then, take your Fleshlight out its case and place it on the towel or cloth. Lastly, take another towel and gently pat down the Fleshlight until it is dry.
It’s important not to put your Fleshlight back in its case until it’s completely dry – both inside and out. If you do so, you increase the risk of it developing mold and ruining it.
How to Dry the Inside of a Fleshlight?
It’s incredibly important to let the inside of your Fleshlight dry properly, as that’s the area that’s most likely to grow mold. The key thing when it comes to drying the inside is making sure air is able to flow through the Fleshlight properly. This means taking it out of the case until it is dry or, at the very least, removing both caps from the case so air can flow through it.
An alternative and quicker way to dry the inside is with a fine microfiber cloth – like you’d use to clean a pair of glasses or a camera lens. Some users on forums have advised using a napkin or paper towel, but I wouldn’t recommend this. This is because there’s a risk the moisture inside the Fleshlight will cause the napkin to flake off or break and remain inside where its likely to grow fleshlight mold.
However, you should never pull open your Fleshlight or turn it inside out to dry it, as this increases the risk of tearing it or ripping off the orifice entirely.
How Long Should You Let a Fleshlight Dry?
With this method, you should be able to remove most of the most of the moisture with your towel and microfiber cloth. However, if you want to leave it out to ensure its completely dry, it should take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours. It all depends on the environment, so the drier the better.
How to Tell If a Fleshlight Is Dry Enough?
When your Fleshlight is dry to the touch and doesn’t leave any moisture on your fingers, then it is dry enough to put back in its case. Remember to feel the inside of the Fleshlight as it will take longer to dry and is more likely to trap moisture.
Other Fleshlight Drying Options
How to Air Dry a Fleshlight
Air drying is the easiest way to dry your Fleshlight but it also takes the most time. To dry it in this way, simply place a towel or cloth on a flat surface. It’s important that this surface is in a place where air flows freely; otherwise, it will take a long time to dry. A desk or bedside table is perfect for this, but we appreciate this isn’t an option for everyone (we cover how to dry your Fleshlight discreetly below). Remove your Fleshlight from its case and place it on the covered surface until it is dry.
How to Set up a Fleshlight to Dry
- Place a towel on a desk or a table;
- Open the window if possible;
- Remove the Fleshlight from its case;
- Place it on the towel;
- Wait until it’s completely dry;
How Long Does It Take to Air Dry a Fleshlight
The amount of time it takes your Fleshlight to air dry is dependent on how dry your environment is. A warm, dry climate is best, while humid environments will take a little longer. But regardless of where you are, it shouldn’t take more than a few (1 – 4) hours. If you find it’s not drying quickly enough, consider moving it to another part of the room with better airflow. Or pat it down with a towel as described above.
How to Dry a Fleshlight with a Hairdryer
Drying your Fleshlight with a hairdryer is an effective way of drying it quickly. However, it’s important to be aware that if the air from the hair dryer is too hot, it could damage your Fleshlight over time. To prevent this, put the hair dryer on the lowest setting, or even a cold air setting if it has one.
As with other methods, remove the Fleshlight from its case so the air from the hair dryer can reach its inside.
How Long Does It Take to Dry a Fleshlight with a Hair Dryer
Drying your Fleshlight in this way, even on a cold setting, should only take a few minutes. Even on the lowest setting, it will take no longer than 5 minutes.
How to Dry a Fleshlight with a Mini Fan
A mini-fan is an effective alternative to a hairdryer and allows you to directly apply cool air onto your Fleshlight. It even has the added advantage of you not having to hold it while it dries your Fleshlight. To dry your Fleshlight in this way, place it on a towel on a flat surface and place the mini fan next to it. Position the mini fan so it is directed at the Fleshlight’s orifice so it can dry its inside.
How Long Does It Take to Dry a Fleshlight with a Mini Fan
As with a hair dryer, it doesn’t take very long to dry your Fleshlight with a mini fan. Depending on the strength of your fan, it should take somewhere between 5 and 30 minutes. As important of the strength of the fan is how you position it; make sure you place it close to the Fleshlight and facing its orifice.
How to Dry Your Fleshlight With an Air Pump
Some users have reported using an air pump, like you’d find in a fish tank or aquarium, to dry their Fleshlight. I think this is a worthwhile idea as they are pretty cheap and provide a way of directly drying the inside of your Fleshlight. To dry it in this way, place the pump’s plastic tubing inside your Fleshlight and turn the pump on. It should be dry within a matter of minutes.
How to Dry Your Fleshlight With a Tampon
Other ingenious users have also reported using a tampon to quickly dry the inside of their Fleshlight. Now, if you happen to have one lying around – sure. However, if you were thinking of buying them for this purpose, it would be far more beneficial to buy some microfiber cloths instead.
How to Dry Your Fleshlight With a Drying Rack
Using a DIY drying rack is becoming a popular method for drying a Fleshlight quickly. Particularly because they allow you to dry it discreetly if that’s something you need to take into account. Although there are dozens of designs out there, with some being more effective or complicated than others, my favorite is the one in the video link below:
It’s incredibly simple to make and only requires a coat hanger. It’s design and compact size means it can be stored in a wardrobe or on a coat rack behind a door. Remember: the more airflow the better, so try and hang it in a place where it’s only going to a lot of air flow.
Isopropyl Alcohol and Drying

Isopropyl alcohol, or Fleshwash, is an effective, and popular, way of cleaning a Fleshlight but it can also help it dry faster. Isopropyl alcohol actually evaporates far quicker than water so using a little to clean your Fleshlight should speed up the process. Simply clean your Fleshlight as usual and then apply a little, either a couple of cap fulls or sprays, to the inside and outside of the Fleshlight.
How to Dry a Fleshlight Quickly
If you want to dry a Fleshlight quickly the three best methods are:
- Using a hair dryer
- Using a mini fan
- Using a towel/microfiber cloth
All three methods allow you to dry your Fleshlight in minutes as opposed to hours. If you want to dry your Fleshlight really quickly, I would recommend combining the use of a hair dryer or mini fan with a microfiber cloth. This would allow you to quickly remove most of the moisture from the Fleshlight before drying the inside with the microfiber cloth.
How to Dry a Fleshlight Discreetly
If you live at home with your parents, have a girlfriend or wife that isn’t open about male sex toys, or simply have roommates, it’s important to know how to dry a Fleshlight without getting caught.
To start, it’s important to remember that speed is an important part of discretion, so if you can dry your Fleshlight in one of the quick ways described in the section above – I encourage you to do that. If this is not an option, then it’s important to store your Fleshlight in a place with at least some airflow while it dries. This could include drawers and wardrobes, but it’s very important not to crowd them with clothes and that will restrict air flow and encourage the spread of mold. It’s also important to dry it outside its case, or at the very least, to remove both caps from the case while it dries.
A drying rack is a useful tool for drying your Fleshlight discreetly. Particularly as it allows you to hang your Fleshlight in a wardrobe. If you utilize this method, make sure it’s not crowded with clothes. Ideally, if you can, move all the clothes to one side of the wardrobe while leaving the other side for the rack – to give it enough space. If you have to, make room for the Fleshlight by removing some clothes for short time; you can easily put them back later!
Lastly, you can make up for the lack of airflow if you need to dry your Fleshlight in a wardrobe or drawer with isopropyl alcohol or a microfiber cloth. With the alcohol, simply spread a little inside the Fleshlight to help it dry quicker and greatly reduce the development of mold. As for the microfiber cloth, feed it through the inside of the Fleshlight so it comes out the other side. Leave it in it for around 30 minutes and then remove it; giving it time to absorb the moisture from the Fleshlight.
